Intel acquires Wind River Systems for Approximately $ 884 Million

Intel Corporation reached a definitive agreement to acquire Wind River Systems Inc, under which Intel will acquire Wind River common stock to $ 11.50 in cash per share, representing approximately $ 884 million in the aggregate. Wind River, a leading provider of software for embedded devices, will join Intel's strategy to increase its presence in processors and software beyond the traditional PC market segments and servers.
