Adobe said that Flash support for tablets based on Google with its next version of Android operating system "Honeycomb", will be available "within weeks".

Honeycomb is the first version of Android designed for Tablet PC and is expected with great impatience. The Motorola Xoom tablet will launch on Thursday as the first to run this software, but earlier versions do not come with flash. Verizon, which I will make the sale, previously said Flash will be available in "spring 2011."

"Consumers are clearly asking for Flash on devices supporting tablets and the good news is you will not have to wait long. We are aware of more than 50 tablets will be delivered in 2011 supporting a full web experience (with Flash support) and Xoom users will be the first to enjoy this benefit, "wrote Matt Rozen, the blog of Adobe Flash Platform.

Adobe said that Flash Player 10.2 will provide users with dual-core tablets and smartphones HD Flash video, up to 30 frames per second in video performance.
