BOSTON (Reuters) - Apple Inc on Wednesday launched 45 software patches to resolve unusual security flaws in its popular mobile devices iPhone and iPod Touch.

The company developed as part of the iPhone OS 3.0, imminent appearance.

"This is a lot of patches for the iPhone," said Dino Dai Zovi, a security expert who is writing a book on how to compromise the security of the iPhone.

Apple has a solid reputation in regard to their devices. While it is unusual that the company launched many patches at once, some analysts have yet to discover whether any malware has targeted the Apple iPhone since it went on sale two years ago. (continue reading ...)
